Make sure your finances are in order

Use this year to dive into your finances and work on becoming more money savvy! Saving for a down payment can be a lot of work, but chances are you've missed many opportunities to save. When you sit down with your bank statements and make a list of your expenses, you may be surprised to find that you're spending far more than you need to.

This year I really want to work on improving my credit rating

A good credit rating can be very helpful in getting favoruable loan terms. When you are preparing to buy a home, it is important to know what condition your credit is in. We recommend that you monitor any changes in your credit score on a monthly basis. Scores range from 300 to 900, with Equifax, which provides credit information, considering a score of 690 or above to be "good."

Your credit score, along with other factors such as your debt-to-income ratio, is used to determine your eligibility for a mortgage. Best practices for improving your credit score include paying all bills on time, keeping credit cards at or below 35% of their limit, and trying to limit the number of credit applications or checks.

This year, I want to look at the home buying process and make sure I know what steps to take

Buying a home can be a bit overwhelming. Not to worry, as I am here to help you get started. I am always available to answer your questions and guide you through the process.

This year, I want to focus on sprucing up my current home

Whether you are a current homeowner and want to improve or downsize, or you are looking to move from a rental to your own property, organizing your current living space can help you tremendously. A tidy and organized space will not only help you feel more relaxed, but it will also make the transition into your new home easier.

If you're looking to sell in the new year, I recommend that you make a resolution to take care of those little things that you've been neglecting. Repainting or replacing a worn out light bulb can make a big difference in the appearance of your house.

This year, I want to find a Realtor® I can trust to help me through the process.

I offer in-depth knowledge and experience regarding the home buying process. Whether you are a first time home buyer or have already bought and sold several properties, I am here to help!
